Dr Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask
This Oxygen Facial mask is my first Dr Brandt product I have ever used and let me tell you I am in love.
The Dr Brandt brand has a variety of skincare products that become very popular due to their uniqueness. You may have seen some of the best sellers used by beauty gurus on YouTube, including the most recent Magnetight Mask that uses a magnet to remove the mask.
The product is delivered via a pump and keeps it hygienic. The pump is very smooth and doesn’t dispense a huge amount at once nor does it get stuck mid pump.
I’ve used other products that use a pump and sometimes half the product gets stuck in the bottle or you have to keep pumping it multiple times before getting any product out.
My least favourite is when using an eye cream that’s delivered by a pump. You can’t use half of what has come out because the amount of product that comes out seems to be more for your entire body instead of the small eye area.
What the product looks like
The picture above shows one pump worth of product and I use 2 pumps for my face.
You need to have damp skin when applying, but don’t let your skin be really wet or it may tend to get slippery and slide off your face.
Once you have it you need to work quickly to apply it to your face as it starts to bubble. The instructions advise to leave it on for 3 minutes but I tend to lean more towards the 10 minute mark. It feels so nice and relaxes on my skin I try to leave it on for as long as I can.
What the product looks like once applied
Once the mask is applied it starts it’s bubbling and sparkling and I enjoy every second of it!
Every time I use it I feel that it gets deep into my pores and creates a clean lane for the benefits of my other skincare to get in there and work their magic.
It is a different feeling of cleanse than a scrub or any type of at home peel I’ve tried. It may be because you can feel the activity going on your skin. Verses other masks that sit there and you don’t feel the benefits or effects until you wash it off, or in the following days.
This is very easy to wash off and don’t leave a layer of film behind.
I have tried the very popular Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask, which I found very hard to wash off, and find this works so much better for my skin. Not sure if the Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask was meant to be a dupe for this mask or if the only similarity between the 2 is the bubbling effect, but I couldn’t wait to get rid of the Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask as soon as possible. Whereas this Oxygen mask I look forward to using!
I tend to use it about twice a week right after I do my cleansing routine.
Then I may follow it up with another mask, like Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask or anther mask that provides some nutrients or hydration to my skin so it goes straight into my pores.
I know there are Oxygen facials you can get from a beautician, I have never tried, and can’t say if it gives you the same feeling/benefits. I have heard great things about the in salon Oxygen facials, maybe this mask is a small slice of the same benefit(s) for use at home.
I am currently testing a new moisturiser and it’s drying out parts of my face, in particular around my chin area, and I’ll use this tonight to help soothe that dryness.
If you have tried the in salon facial I’d love to hear your thoughts about it. Or if you have tried both please let me know in the comments below your comparison.
YES!! I plan to use this product over and over again in the future. There are also other Dr Brandt products that I want to try but will need to wait until some of my back stock is used up. Right now I am trying to use a variety of brands so see which I like and which I am not a fan of.
I purchased this product from Beauty Bay for $78 (click here for the link – not an affiliate). It is a little on the pricey side but I feel like it’ll last awhile and my skin reacts really well to it.
